They are an indigenous community of Brazil and can also be known as Yanomami-Surimã, Yanomami, Cobari Kobali, Shamatri, Guaica, Guaicá, YanmomamoÚ, Yanomam, Yanomamï, Guaharibo, Shamatari, Yanomamo, Shaathari, Shamatari, Guaharibo, Guajaribo. They are an Indigenous people, in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Yanomamö.
