They are an ethnolinguistic community of Venezuela and can also be known as Yanomam, YanmomamoÚ, Guaica, Guajaribo, Guaharibo, Yanomami-Surimã, Shamatari, Shamatri, Yanomami, Shaathari, Yanomamï, Guaicá, Yanomamo, Yanomamo, Cobari Kobali. They are an Indigenous people, in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Yanomamö.
