They are an ethnolinguistic community of Venezuela and can also be known as De'cuana, Ye'kuana, Maquiritare, Soto, So'to, Ye'cuana, Makiritare, Cun, De'cuana, Maquiritai, Pawana, Maiongong, Yekuana, Mayongong, Yecuana. They are an Indigenous people, in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion. They primarily speak Maquiritari.
