They are an Amerindian group indigenous to the north coastal areas of South America and can also be known as Karina, Galibi, Caribe, Kalihna, Galibi do Oiapoque, Marwor, Galibi, Costal Carib, Galibí, Kalinã, Cariña, Galibi do Uaçá, Maraworno, Kalinya. They are an Indigenous people, in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion. They primarily speak Carib.
