They are a people of African and mixed Afro-European descent indigenous to the island of Saint Lucia in the West Indies and can also be known as St Lucian. They are an Indigenous people, in the Afro-Caribbean people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Lesser Antillean French Creole.
