They are a West Indian people of Montserrat and can also be known as Mullato, Blacks, Montserratians, Montserratians, Montserratans. They are an Indigenous people, in the Afro-Caribbean people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak Leeward Caribbean English Creole.
