They are an indigenous community of Arawakan-speaking Amerindians in Guyana and can also be known as Lokono, Arowak. They are an Indigenous people, in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion. They primarily speak Guyanese English Creole.
