They are an Indigenous Amazonian people of Colombia, part of the Eastern Tukanoan cultural and linguistic complex of the northwest Amazon. They are also known as Utapinopona. They are an Indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Tuyuca and their primary religion is Animism.
