The West Indian Blacks of British Virgin Islands

The West Indian Blacks of British Virgin Islands, numbering approximately 30,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a British Virgin Islands community descended from enslaved Africans first recorded on Tortola in 1665, growing to thousands under plantation slavery before 1834 abolition, after which many freed islanders became independent fishers and farmers. They mostly adhere to Protestantism and Virgin Islands Creole English is their primary language.
