They are an ethnolinguistic group indigenous to the Manica Province of central Mozambique They are an Diaspora people, in the Bantu, Chewa-Sena people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Nyungwe.
