The Gogo of Tanzania

The Gogo of Tanzania, numbering approximately 3,125,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Bantu people of Tanzania's semi-arid Dodoma region who shifted from hunting and ivory trading with Nyamwezi caravans to settled pastoralism and farming by the 1200s-1800s, historically governed by chiefs alongside separately powerful rainmaking leaders. They mostly adhere to Roman Catholicism and Gogo is their primary language.

Pray specifically for the Gogo of Tanzania

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
read1 John 1:9

Pray that God, who is faithful and just, will open the eyes of those who are lost and draw them to confess their sins and trust in Him to grant forgiveness.

Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear.
readMatthew 13:8-9

Pray that they will have open hearts and minds to the Word of God, and that it will take root in their lives and bear fruit for His glory.

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
read2 Corinthians 6:14

Pray that as people place their faith in Christ and want to marry, they will be led to other believers and enter into godly marriages.

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.
readJohn 12:24

Pray that God will raise up men and women who are willing to die to their own desires, bearing much fruit for the kingdom among individuals and in places where His gospel has not been proclaimed.
