They are an indigenous community of Democratic Republic of the Congo and can also be known as Gbaya, Baya Ngbaka, Gbaya; Baya Ngbaka. They are an Indigenous people, in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Roman Catholicism. They primarily speak Ngbaka.
