The Gurma of Ghana, numbering approximately 1,695,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Gur-speaking people whose ancestors migrated from the Gambaga Scarp of northeastern Ghana, some founding the first Mossi kingdom at Tenkodogo while others pressed on to establish the Fada N'Gourma kingdom They are an Indigenous people, with Gurma (Gourma) as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Gur people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. They mostly adhere to Ethnoreligion and Gourmanchéma is their primary language.
