The Benga of Equatorial Guinea, numbering approximately 8,900 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Bantu-speaking Ndowe ethnolinguistic community of coastal Equatorial Guinea, traditionally associated with Corisco and the Elobey Islands, whose identity is rooted in a maritime heritage of fishing, sailing, and regional trade They are an Indigenous people, with Benga as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Bantu, Northwest people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. They mostly adhere to Protestantism and Benga is their primary language.
