They are a northwest Bantu ethnolinguistic group indigenous to the North Lekoumou region of the Republic of the Congo. They are an Indigenous people, in the Bantu, Northwest people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak Teke-Tsaayi.
