They are described as a people of Congo, Cuvette region, Ewo and Okoyo districts; Plateaux region, Abala District, west of Mpama River They are an Indigenous people, with Teke as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Bantu, Northwest people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism. They primarily speak Teke-Tege.
