The Banda-Ndele of Central African Republic, numbering approximately 69,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Banda people speaking the Central dialect of the Ubangian languages, decimated by 19th-century slave raids from Wadai, Darfur, and Khartoumer forces until the French suppressed the trade after founding Ubangi-Shari in 1903.
