They are an ethnic group indigenous to the Senegambia region and widely disbursed in Sahara, Sahel, and West Africa They are an Diaspora people, in the Fulani / Fulbe people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Folk. They primarily speak Fulfulde, Adamawa.
