The Mossi of Benin

The Mossi of Benin, numbering approximately 58,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a long‑established Mossi community living in northern Benin, near the borders with Burkina Faso and Togo. They are Gur‑speaking West Africans whose presence in Benin is the result of historic migration from the Mossi heartland in present-day Burkina-Faso. They are an Diaspora people in the Gur people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Moore and their primary religion is Folk Islam.
