They are an ethnolinguistic community of Benin and can also be known as Ọhọ̀rí, Ije, Ìjὲ, Holli-Djé, Hɔlí, Ede-Ijε, Ahori, Holi. They are an Indigenous people, in the Yoruba people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak Ede Ije.
