The Doms of Syria

The Doms of Syria, numbering approximately 43,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small, historically marginalized ethnic group who belong to the wider Dom people—an Indo‑Aryan diaspora community found across the Middle East, North Africa, and parts of Eurasia. They are an Indigenous people in the Domari people cluster of the Persian-Median Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Domari and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
