The West Aramaic of Syria, numbering approximately 16,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a people of Lebanon, Syria, and the Palestinian territories of Gaza and the West Bank. They are an Indigenous people, in the Assyrian / Aramaic people cluster of the Arab World affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Eastern Orthodox. They primarily speak Western Neo-Aramaic.
