The Bua of Chad

The Bua of Chad, numbering approximately 25,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Kulaawe subgroup of the Bua people in a dozen villages of southern Chad's Guera region, historically blacksmiths at Tile Nougar who extracted and forged iron, recently converted to Islam while retaining aspects of their older pre-Islamic practices. They mostly adhere to Animism and Bua is their primary language.
