The Maskelyne Islanders of Vanuatu, numbering approximately 2,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as an Indigenous Melanesian people of the Maskelyne Islands off southeastern Malekula whose identity is shaped by their small-island maritime homeland and a distinct Oceanic language and cultural tradition They are an Indigenous people, with Maskelyne Islander as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Vanuatu people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. They mostly adhere to Protestantism and Maskelynes is their primary language.
