The Lamet of Laos, numbering approximately 28,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are described as an indigenous Palaungic people of northwestern Laos, concentrated in Luang Namtha, Oudomxay, and Bokeo provinces, with longstanding regional ties through trade and labor migration They are an Indigenous people, with Lamet as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. They mostly adhere to Animism and Rmeet is their primary language.
