The Kadavu of Fiji

The Kadavu of Fiji, numbering approximately 14,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as an island people of Fiji's fourth-largest island, first recorded by British captain William Bligh in 1792 and drawn into 19th-century beche-de-mer and whaling trade, living today in coastal villages known for Fiji's most conservative traditional customs They are an Indigenous people, with Kadavu as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Fiji people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. They mostly adhere to Protestantism and Fijian is their primary language.
