They are a Davawenyo ethnolinguistic community of the Davao Region in southeastern Mindanao, traditionally associated with the native Mansakan Davawenyo language, which has been strongly influenced by Cebuano and Tagalog. They mostly adhere to Roman Catholicism and Davawenyo is their primary language.
