The Rukai of Taiwan, numbering approximately 13,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an indigenous people of Taiwan, south central mountains, Ping Tung area, 11 villages; Taitung area, 2 or 3 villages; west of the Puyuma (pyu) They are an Indigenous people, in the Taiwan Indigenous people cluster of the East Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak Rukai.
