The Torgut Oirat of China, numbering approximately 184,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are one of five dialects of Kalmyk-Oirat (xal), a language of Russia and can also be known as Oirat, Torgut, Western Mongol. They are an Indigenous people, in the Mongolian people cluster of the East Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Buddhism - Tibetan. They primarily speak Kalmyk-Oirat.
