The Darang Deng of China, numbering approximately 12,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are described as a small, indigenous ethnolinguistic people of southeastern Tibet (China) who belong to the broader Deng / Mishmi cultural complex that spans China, India, and Myanmar and can also be known as Taraon Deng, Tarang Deng. They are an Indigenous people, with Deng as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Other Tibeto-Burmese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Chinese Folk Religion. They primarily speak Digaro-Mishmi.
