The Dhagar of Nepal

The Dhagar of Nepal, numbering approximately 53,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Dravidian-speaking ethnolinguistic tribe indigenous to the Chhotanagpur Plateau of northeastern India and adjacent areas of Bangladesh and Nepal and can also be known as Jhanger, Jangad, Dhangar, Orau, Jhanger, Uraon, Janghard, Urawn, Oraon. They are an Indigenous people, in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Kurux.
