They are an ethnolinguistic community of Nepal, Narayani zone: Chitawan District; Lumbini zone, Nawalparasi District They are an Indigenous people, in the Nepali-Pahari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism - Folk. They primarily speak Bhojpuri.
