The Meadow Mari of Russian Federation, numbering approximately 548,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Finno‑Ugric ethnic group and the largest subgroup of the Mari people, indigenous to the Middle Volga region of Russia. They are especially concentrated in the Republic of Mari El. They are also known as Lowland Mari, Eastern Meadow Mari. They are an Indigenous people in the Finno-Ugric people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Mari, Meadow and their primary religion is Ethnoreligion.
