The Lewa Kunbi of India

The Lewa Kunbi of India, numbering approximately 4,070,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a major agrarian subgroup of the broader Kunbi farming community of western India, especially concentrated in Khandesh and neighboring regions, with a long history of cultivation, landholding, and village leadership. They are an Indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Marathi and their primary religion is Hinduism.
