They are the Indigenous first peoples of Panay and nearby islands in the central Philippines, a small but historically foundational community whose culture, language, and identity have endured despite centuries of displacement They are an Indigenous people, in the Filipino Tribal people cluster of the Malay Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Ati.
