The Western Huave of Mexico

The Western Huave of Mexico, numbering approximately 24,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are one of the four main subgroups of the Huave people, an Indigenous group in Oaxaca, Mexico, who speak languages from the Huavean family (an isolate, unrelated to other Mesoamerican languages). They are an Indigenous people in the Central American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Huave, San Mateo del Mar and their primary religion is Folk Catholicism.
