The Layab of Bhutan

The Layab of Bhutan, numbering approximately 1,600 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an ethnolinguistic community of Bhutan, North Punakha District, around Laya; Gasa District; Thimphu District, Lingzhi gewog. They are an Indigenous people in the Bhutanese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Layakha and their primary religion is Tibetan Buddhism.
