The Tigrai/Tigrinya of Eritrea, numbering approximately 1,760,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Semitic-speaking ethnic group indigenous to the Tigray Region of northern Ethiopia. They are an Diaspora people, in the Ethio-Semitic people cluster of the Horn of Africa affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Eastern Orthodox. They primarily speak Tigrigna.
