The Ilayatu of India, numbering approximately 37,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small endogamous Hindu community of South India, found mainly among Malayali‑speaking populations of Kerala. They are an Indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Malayalam and their primary religion is Hinduism.
