The Jita of Tanzania, numbering approximately 598,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an ethnic and linguistic community of northwestern Tanzania, living mainly along the southeastern shore of Lake Victoria in the Mara Region, especially around Musoma District. They are also known as Wajita. They are an Indigenous people in the Bantu, Central-Lakes people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Jita and their primary religion is African Traditional Religion.
