The Fernandino of Equatorial Guinea, numbering approximately 13,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Creole people descended from Africans freed from slave ships by British naval patrols and resettled on Bioko Island from 1827, who intermarried with local Bubi and built the cocoa industry that gave Fernando Po its wealth. They mostly adhere to Protestantism and Krio is their primary language.
