They are a Bantu ethnic group settled along the Lulua River valley in south central Kasai-Occidental province, Democratic Repuglic of the Congo and the adjacent border area of northern Angola They are an Indigenous people, in the Bantu, Central-Luba people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Roman Catholicism. They primarily speak Luba-Kasai.
