They are a linguistic subgroup of the larger Chin ethnic community indigenous to the Chin state of western Myanmar They are an Indigenous people, in the Kuki-Chin (Zo) people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak Chin, Hakha.
