They are a Chadic ethnic group indigenous to the Adamawa and Borno states in Nigeria and can also be known as Higi, Vacamwe, Hiji, Higgi. They are an Indigenous people, in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion. They primarily speak Kamwe.
