The Rutul of Russian Federation, numbering approximately 35,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Northeast Caucasian ethnic group indigenous to the Rutulsky district of Dagestan and can also be known as Chal, Mykhanidy, Mukhad, Rutuly, Rutultsy, Rutal. They are an Indigenous people, in the Caucasus people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Rutul.
