The Pano of India

The Pano of India, numbering approximately 1,760,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a tea-garden community of upper Assam also called Pantanti, tracing migration from Bihar, Maharashtra, and Odisha. Tea-garden labor remains their main livelihood, supplemented by agriculture. They mostly adhere to Ethnoreligion and Odia is their primary language.
