The Daasanach of Kenya

The Daasanach of Kenya, numbering approximately 16,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a semi‑nomadic agropastoral people who inhabit the Lower Omo Valley of south‑western Ethiopia, extending into northern Kenya and South Sudan and can also be known as Daasanach. They are an Indigenous people, with Daasanach (Reshiat) as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Sidama people cluster of the Horn of Africa Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism. They primarily speak Daasanach.
