The Lajjhar of India, numbering approximately 6,600 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a landless community of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, also known as Rajbhar or Batai, the latter recalling their work as farm laborers. They are Hindu, worshipping the Panch Pandav alongside Hindu deities. They are also known as Batai, Rajjhar. They are an Indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Hindi and their primary religion is Hinduism.
