The Banai of India, numbering approximately 650 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a small Indigenous tribal community of northeastern India. The Banai are recognized as a tribal group closely associated with the Koch people, particularly in Meghalaya and Assam. They are an Indigenous people, in the Bengali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Assamese.
