The Shravan of India

The Shravan of India, numbering approximately 50 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a mendicant caste of Saurashtra, Gujarat (Amreli district), claiming descent from Shravan Kumar of the Ramayana. The Shravan traditionally sought alms carrying a kavad, but are now more diversified. They are an Indigenous people in the Brahmin people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Gujarati and their primary religion is Hinduism.
